After receiving your Magic Jack it is only a matter of a few simple steps you need to fallow to get it up and running.
1. Your Magic Jack plugs into any 2.0 or higher USB port. Be sure to use the USB extension cable that comes with your Magic Jack if there is any problem getting the device to fit tight and all the way in.
2. As soon as the Magic Jack device is plugged into the USB port it connects to the Magic Jack site where you start the registration process.
3. Register your Magic Jack – where you enter your E-mail address and make up a password.
4. For the purpose of setting up your 911 – enter your address
5. Next select your State, Province, area code, and prefix, and make sure you check the Outgoing Service Box.
6. After reading the terms of service (TOS) check the – I agree to these terms box.
7. Confirm that all your information is correct – if any corrections are needed click the back button to make corrections. If all is good, then click Activate.
8. Plug any phone or base into the Magic Jack - just as you would plug your phone into the wall jack from the old land line.
Your Magic Jack soft phone will appear on your screen in a few seconds.
8. Follow these steps to activate your 911 address.
a. Click on the (Menu) button – located at the top center of the soft phone.
b. Highlight (Advanced users) and click Restart.
